Contact Hours (Points): 1.5

In a structured, yet self-paced format, the goal of this course is to provide the tools to culture and identify bacteria present in urine that may be missed using standard urine culture protocols. Participants will also learn how to identify bacteria present in urine of women with overactive bladder syndrome and urinary incontinence that may be misidentified using traditional phenotypic testing methods. This self-study course was adapted from a webinar given by the author for the CACMLE 2014 Grand Rounds in Clinical Laboratory Microbiology and Infectious Disease Series. The audio component for this course was modified from this presentation and divided into frame specific narrations.
